Jean Barbre, EdD, has thirty years of experience working with children and families as a licensed marriage and family therapist, preschool director, teacher, college instructor, national and international speaker, and a guest presenter on public television. Dr. Barbre holds a master’s degree in child and family studies from California State University, Long Beach, a master’s degree in counseling from California State University, Fullerton, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Pepperdine University.

Great, especially for caregivers and parents of infants and toddlers:

After reading "Activities for Responsive Caregiving," I know I will use this book
in the future. As a teacher of toddlers and preschool children, there are many activities
I will use with toddlers, or "tweak" to use with preschool children.
This text describes reasons for using different activities; helps understand the learning domains
involved.
This would make an excellent addition to an Early Childhood class for Infant/Toddler caregivers.
